Culturally Sustaining Instructional Design Card Deck is modeled after the CSID Model published by Smith & Staudt Willet, 2023.

This deck includes 42 cards, sized 2.5 in x 2.5 and printed on recycled paper, that prompt you and your team to reflect on the Culturally Sustaining Instructional Design (CSID) Model when designing an online learning environment. The deck includes the following types of cards: Instructions (7x), Community (6x), Content (6x), Pedagogy (6x), Demonstrate (6x), Support (6x), and Reflect & Connect (5x). Use the instructions to map out your discussion as you (and your team) reflect on the questions prompted by the Community, Content, Pedagogy, Demonstrate, and Support sections of the CSID Model. Then, you can use the Reflect & Connect cards to create your implementation strategy to design inclusive learning environments.
